Nail Sculpting for Beginners
More than 100 video lessons for beginners and experienced nail technicians who want to get professional education.
To pass the course you will need 6 months
Continuing Education Units: 140
Includes Acrylic Technology and Hard Gel Technology
Nail sculpting will never be out of fashion. You know why?
Because not so many women can boast having ideal nails, and sculpting (modeling) will make even short, bitten, or broad nails look trim and elegant.
It is one of the most sought services in manicure parlors. On average, every 5th client requests nail sculpting, so professionals who perform it expertly will never find themselves out of clients.
In this course, I have put together all the main issues related to gel and acrylic sculpting. The theoretical part is well structured - I explain it all simply and clearly, and the most effective techniques are included in the practical part.
At Nails Pro Academy, we believe shared knowledge has the power to change lives, and we create a better beautiful industry together.
If you’re just starting out, don’t worry. This class is perfect for beginners since I am going to cover the basic terms and objectives of acrylic and gel application.
Experienced nail technicians will benefit from it too as I will share some nail hacks and tips on flawless application.
You are welcome to join us!

author of the course, nail technician, and educator with 19 years of experience.

Training structure
Nail sculpting sections include two parts: acrylic sculpting and gel sculpting (plus gel polishes). You can choose to study either the acrylic sculpting section or the gel sculpting section or both. In either case, you will get access to the full theory of both concepts. We strongly recommend you attend both classes.
If you are a newbie then you should learn both technologies. If you are a veteran of nail sculpting but work only with gel or acrylic then you can study the missing technique and become a professional.
Usually, some nail techs have concerns that acrylic is dangerous and often feel the same way about gel. This is simply a myth. These two technologies, if used professionally, will do no harm to natural nails, clients, or nail technicians. If you work only with one technology basically you are losing 50% of your clients just because you can't satisfy all of their needs

What you will learn
More than 100 video lessons on two sculpting technologies - gel and acrylic
The biggest problem for a beginner in nail sculpting is how to apply the material in a thin even layer and then pinch the nail. In this course, I will discuss nail architecture in detail and explain the chemistry of the product polymerisation (hardening) process - so that you would understand how to choose the right amount of material and the right place to apply it, and how to pinch the nail properly.
The other difficulty is the time sculpting takes. Some beginners spend as much as seven or even ten hours (yes, as long as that!) on their first sculpting efforts. I will show you the best techniques to use, and after practicing them you will reduce the time to 1-1,5 hours.
During this course, you will learn different ways of applying various products and creating the C-curve and will be able to use them in different circumstances. You will also get rid of the most common mistakes, knowing how to avoid them from the start. And significantly enhance the speed of your filing and sculpting.
Are you familiar with these problems?
Here are the typical problems of those who studied nail sculpting all by themselves or with the help of free online videos. You are sure to have encountered some of them if you ever tried sculpting without proper training:
Peeling
Caused by mistakes in nail preparation for sculpting or in applying the product.
Cracks on sides
Caused by incorrect form fitting, nail pinching or filing.
Broken nails
Caused by mistakes in form fitting or material application.
Chipping on a free edge
Caused by bad preparation of the natural nail or wrong choice of the product.
And what is the result?
Time wasted, clients and money lost.
All these problems will stay forever in the past for graduates of my course.
I guarantee that after completing this course and all its practical assignments you will be able to sculpt nails on a professional level.
Who will benefit from this course?
This course will be useful for all nail professionals, both experts, and newcomers. If you have experience in classic manicure and nail sculpting, the course will help enhance your performance and teach the application of new techniques.
So, I welcome to the course:
· Beginners in the nail industry.

Contents
We start with the basics. We discuss the structure of a natural nail, the way it grows, what materials are required, and how to choose them.
We move on to practical tasks. We learn to feel the product and to apply it properly, to choose the right moment for pinching, and to shape the nail into a perfect shape by filing.
Improving the techniques. We practice achieving beautiful smile lines and applying polish, creating perfect nails for further application of one tone polish or for a French manicure.
We go up from simple to comprehensive, moving on to the next assignments only after the previous ones are fully completed.

How it works?
- This is online training; you don't need to spend your money on travel expenses, leave your job or family.
- Training contains high-quality lessons in HD.
- At the beginning of the training, you will get access to several lessons and you would be able to watch them as many times as you wish. Some people prefer to study in the evening or even at night :)
- Lessons will contain home assignments. You will have to complete those assignments. The teacher will check your homework, send comments, and approve or disapprove of your work. Once your work is approved you will get access to the next lessons.
- You can practice at any time that is suitable for you, take a picture of your results, and upload them to the Getcourse educational system which we use to provide this online training.
- Your tutor will check your uploaded pictures, comment on them, underline your mistakes and errors, and explain how you can fix them or approve your work if there are no mistakes.
- If you have any questions or concerns you can ask the teacher anytime and get a response.
- If you won't be able to complete the training before the end date we will allow you an extension of 1 week. Life is unpredictable sometimes and we would love to help you.
- At the end of the training when you will complete all of your assignments you will get access to your final evaluation. When you successfully complete your evaluation system will give you a personal Certificate of completion.
Here are some important things to know about our training:
- You will always be able to see the work of your fellow students and also be able to analyze their mistakes and view the tutor's comments. It helps a lot while you are studying.
- There is no limit to remaking your work. This is not possible with traditional live training as the whole group would have to wait for you if you're having trouble with something. With our training, this limitation does not exist. In fact, some of our students continue to remake some of their art works even after it's already been approved by the tutor — they just want to add more amazing designs to their portfolio :)

Commit to the practice
We understand the excitement to move forward to the next lesson but learning is a process that requires time. Make sure you are turning in your best work. We carefully take into consideration the time (on average) it takes a student to complete a course, in addition to the time for a teacher to check assignments. Those factors are included for courses with limited timeframes. The only exception to this is when we offer deep discounts during the holiday season.
Be challenged by our educators
The relationship between student and teacher is important to us. We know that having an assignment declined can be frustrating. However, our educators will critique your work to help you become a better nail technician. They will offer new perspectives on your work and may require you to make adjustments. For experienced nail technicians, educators will help you break out of your comfort zone, change old habits, and expand your skill sets. Most importantly, it is imperative that you never compare yourself to others. Our teaching criteria will differ from student to student depending on their level of expertise.
We look forward to being part of your journey, and are eager to see what you can achieve with your talent and dedication!
