Very useful i have just started my fist nail Technician job at a salon last week my first set was on a 12 girl i did tips instead of forms and they popped off by Saturday when i did them on Friday i was so embarrassed but I should have known under 15 for gel nails is not a good idea due to oils in the nail bed.

How to get started as a nail technician?

I did enjoy the marathon. The most I learned from this was the varying ways in which to get one’s nail tech license, proper sanitization/sterilization, and how to navigate working in the business.

I liked the marathon. It was very informative. The most informative things I learned were; great supplies for nail decorating and gaining good sources for tools and helpful insights.

I liked the marathon and I learned all sorts of good stuff. Knowing resources for help with getting licensed and where to buy products is very helpful. I liked also liked learning about different paths that can be taken and about others' experiences. I would love to hear more. All in all, very enjoyable and informative!

Very detailed, and understanding.

I did like the marathon I think it was a great start to learn about the educators and the most important details of being a mail technician. The most that o have learned is at the end of the day you’re your own boss! Honestly can’t think of anything at the top of my head about what should come in the next marathon.

Regarding the marathon: I was amazed at depth and scope of the information covered in this marathon! I greatly valued the resources provided in the lessons, as well as the specific recommendations for art supplies and sanitation/sterilization. I was especially gratified by the second talk given by Kisa…a very real world glimpse, and confidence builder. I learned so much from each... read more

It was the most beneficial informations ever!!

Anastasia is always the ultimate rock star educator! The nail community is very fortunate to benefit from Anastasia's knowledge and generosity!
Future topics could be 1) How to network with other nail techs and 2) How to get the most benefit when attending nail shows (when they reopen).
Thank you.

I felt this was very detailed. For the nail art section, I felt more options for easy or quick nail art should have been included.

I enjoyed the marathon. The sanitation and disinfection was my favorite! I have learned and cleared my view of implements care and safety! The art class was awesome!

Electric File Manicure

For the most part, yes. Everything I learned in this course is new to me but also very valueable as it is not taught by many in such detail. I am not sure of the method behind your lesson plans but sometimes I felt that in compulsory tasks I was not equipped in handling certain obstacles. However, I would notice my obstacle would be addressed in following lessons after the task. But all... read more

Yes I did. Yes I did. Honestly, I felt like everything is quite informative and detailed. I appreciate all the information I learned from this course. Thank you.

Yes everything was very simply explain and easy to understand I learned how to use the drill bits in a new way. Everything great

Love the up close and thorough details of an e-file manicure. A ton! My only experience is what I saw on instagram or what other nail techs did. Know what each bit is actually made for and the best way to appropriately use them was super helpful. Would love to see more "full" e file manicures from start to finish.

Yes! I love the feedback I get I learned different ways of working which I’m excited to try I would LOVE to have access to the course for longer. a busy life and managing an attention deficit disorder sometimes you forget you have a class and 4 months is kinda short. I would love at least 6 months

I did enjoy this class. I am so grateful to have learned more about how to manicure nail biters and men.

Absolutely all was so helpful and easier to knowledge about how to work with the bits, Yes I did learn a lot All of it was just perfect

Thank you so much, I have a greater understanding of the right way to use an e-file, and some techniques to control the e-file to not damage the nail or nail bed. I enjoyed the detailed videos by the professional nail techs. Here in America we can go to school only to find out our teacher is a hair stylist who has no experience with nails. I liked the wide range of topics that are covered.

I really did like everything! I was surprised at how much I learned! It was nice to keep being able to review units over and over again. This is a great course. I have been doing pedicures for 20 years and I learned how to properly take care of all of the calluses. Thank you so much for all the great information. I am looking forward to taking more courses!

Yes Yes, I have been doing pedicures for 20 years. I have never treated cracked heels like this. I usually use a callous remover, then again their next visit and so on. It's nice to know I can help sooner! So far no I am liking the format of this class. It is easy to follow and understand. Thank you!

I thought the course was very educational, and I'm looking forward to the pedicure pro course :)

This lesson was very informative. In my area, the nail techs do not take as much care with sanitizing and disinfection as is shown here. The focus is more on getting everything done fast, while giving the illusion of full service (fancy chairs, scrubs and creams, hot stones, etc). Yes, very much This course was actually a bit easier for me, sometimes having to go back and a second review of the modules was very helpful. Overall, it went well. Everything is well presented and easy to understand .

I did enjoy the course and wish I had more practises to hand in. Funny but I enjoy the repetition of the tasks. #dualforms
Dual forms

It wasn't difficult. Very useful. Especially the placing of the dual form on the nail that I couldn't figure out before I took these courses.

Yes, a little bit. Seem to be regular acrylic is easier than this technique, especially under nails application. I also think that would be easier if using tip to avoid filling under nails. I think learning every new techniques is great. That's how we can up to date our nails career education.

It was difficult just because I did not have the right dual forms, my dual forms can only be used with clear polygel, and I can’t take new one in time for the end of this training

The more difficult was for me the pink and white application, but I think that with the practice I’ll be able to achieve great results :) It was very useful. Yes not to have bubbles. And doing it in bitten nails. Learning a new method of modeling nails. If we get a good hold of the dual forms, it could be easy to work with even if we try using it with acrylic.

Yes, very much Yes. I did not have everything that I needed like acrylic, spider gel and doing fine lines. I recommend this course but I would have wanted a list of products that I needed. I've learned a lot

I have learned about the use of color and designs I would never think of myself. Really nice to be able to have some new techniques to my disposal. I liked the whole course. Only improving point I can think of is letting the students practice more (more tips per design) .

Yes of course! Now I know better how to combine colors and balance the elements of the design. Everything was explained in details and also the tricks have helped a lot.

I learned a lot of which colors go well together, how to compose all the different elements and how to balance them. I liked that there was alternatives if you don't have something in your collection. For example if you don't have neon dry pigments, you could just use gel polishes or if you don't have water decals, you can use stickers, foils or even stamping.

I have learnt how to create 3D images on nails! It has been so much fun!

I have learned so much! I never thought myself as an artistic person so I really exceeded my expectations. Absolutely! I enjoyed every bit of this course and appreciate being given an extension to complete it. I think everything was great. I would love to get more stencils if possible. Great course!

Yes! I don’t do a lot of nail art yet. My clients only want a glitter or sticker so this is nice to show them what else is possible! No, it was super. Good and clear explanation!

Yes, I learned how to sketch on the nail and how to have more controle of my brush No

I have as I've never tried Calligraphy nail art before. I would like for the number fonts to also be provided as a printable.

Yes how to draw letters and how to separate the letter in 4. Every steps are very explained. But Anastasia looks too serious on some videos
